These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Unique DIY & Handyman Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking our services or accepting a quotation, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide mobile / on-site services including, but not limited to:
- Bathroom design and installation
- Wet rooms & showers
- Underfloor heating
- Plumbing
- Tiling & plastering
- Electrical works
- Painting & decorating
- General handyman and property maintenance
2. Quotations
- All quotations are based on information provided by the customer.
- Quotes may change if additional work is required after inspection.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
3. Booking & Appointments
- Appointment dates and times are agreed in advance.
- Customers must ensure access to the property at the agreed time.
- If access is not possible, a call-out fee may apply.
4. Call-Out / Emergency Visits
If emergency call-out services are requested:
- Charges may be higher outside normal working hours
- A minimum call-out fee may apply depending on distance and time
5. Payments
- Payment terms will be confirmed in the quotation or invoice.
- Deposits may be required for large jobs, materials, or bespoke bathroom installations.
- Late payments may result in service delay and additional charges.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide correct information and access to the property
- Ensure the working area is safe and clear
- Inform us of any hidden issues (leaks, asbestos, unsafe wiring, etc.) if known
7. Materials
- Where materials are supplied by us, they will be charged as agreed.
- Where materials are supplied by the customer, we are not responsible for quality, suitability, or delays caused by missing/incorrect items.
8. Variations (Extra Work)
Any additional work not included in the original quote:
- Must be approved by the customer
- Will be charged separately
9. Cancellations
- Please give at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.
- Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged a call-out fee.
10. Warranty / Guarantee
We aim to deliver high-quality workmanship. Any defects due to workmanship must be reported within a reasonable time.
This does not cover:
- Wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse
- Materials supplied by the customer
11. Liability
We will not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Delays caused by circumstances outside our control (weather, supply delays, emergencies)
- Pre-existing issues in the property
Our liability is limited to the value of the work completed.
12. Complaints
If you have any concerns, please contact us first. We aim to resolve issues fairly and promptly.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
